Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC
Poco X3 NFC 128GB
The Poco X3 NFC scores with excellent battery life, but the fast performance and all kinds of equipment features can also convince.
Liquid 120 Hertz display
Excellent battery life
Great value for money
Bad picture quality under low light
Macro and bokeh cameras are more of a gimmick
A little chunky, thick, and heavy
With a screen diagonal of 6.7 inches, the entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi is relatively large. And when it comes to the equipment of the Poco X3 NFC (for testing) , the manufacturer comes up with top features that are otherwise only found in high-end smartphones. The refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which is unusual for this price range, ensures softer animations and a smoother operating experience compared to the conventional 60 Hz.
Unlike the strikingly designed back of the Poco X3 NFC, the black bezels are pleasantly small. The built-in LC display has a Full HD Plus resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and thus provides decent sharpness in everyday life. Only reading image content in sunlight can be a bit demanding due to the maximum brightness of 543.6 cd / m².
Xiaomi Poco M3
The Xiaomi Poco M3 impresses above all with its great battery life. All in all, you get a usable overall package at an absolutely low price.
Strong price-performance ratio
Mixed picture quality
No water and dust protection
Xiaomi is well known for cell phones with a good price-performance ratio. And the Chinese brand also has great devices ready for even smaller budgets. That’s why we use the Xiaomi Poco M3 ( to the review ) for our price tip , which offers a lot of smartphone for little money.
The 6.5-inch display has a sharp 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and has an acceptable brightness of 417.7 cd / m². However, since you only find an inexpensive LCD panel, the color space coverage as well as the black and contrast values are mediocre. The manufacturer sets the refresh rate to the standard 60 Hz. The front design is similar to the current industry standard: thin bezels, a full-surface display and a teardrop-shaped notch on the top.
The performance of the Poco M3 is suitable for everyday tasks. The Qualcomm processor manages 6,058 points in the PCMark benchmark, the graphics performance is a manageable 7.2 frames / s. Our test PDF opens in the WLAN within 7 seconds, which is quite satisfactory. In a nutshell: The performance is absolutely fine for simple everyday applications.
Battery life recommendation: Motorola Moto G8 Power
With the Motorola Moto G8 Power, the word ‘power’ is not just an adornment: the online battery life is a massive 18:41 hours – first class. In return, the battery charges quite slowly. Equipment, display and camera are more useful. For modest frequent users who need a long-lasting device, the cheap cell phone is still worth considering.
Enormously long battery life
Decreasing camera quality in low light
Both the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC and the Redmi Note 8 Pro already have an excellent battery life, which is completely sufficient in most cases. If, on the other hand, every minute counts, the Motorola Moto G8 Power ( to the review ) could be the cell phone of your choice. In terms of battery life, it definitely lives up to its name: With a full 18:41 hours, you can easily get through two full days without having to charge the device. If the battery is running low, it will take 2:18 hours to fully charge. The Pocophone is in the lead again with 1:14 hours.
Your top priority with the Moto G8 Power should definitely be the battery, because otherwise you have to be satisfied with the rating of ‘entry-level smartphone’.
You can insert two SIM cards, but you cannot use 5G. The cell phone is also not suitable for excessive outdoor use because it lacks water and dust protection. The internal memory is only 64 GB, the usable memory is only 49.1 GB. You can insert an SD card for memory expansion, but you have to give up a SIM slot.
Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 256GB

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G shows almost no weaknesses in the test and scores very well in all categories. With its outstanding performance, the Samsung mobile phone positions itself in first place on our list of the best.
Very good hardware camera setup
No SD card slot
Video recordings under low light
With the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (for testing) , Samsung has once again launched a top smartphone, pushing the in-house Galaxy S21 FE 5G from first place on our list of the best .
At 6.8 inches, the Samsung phone is very large and difficult to use with one hand. The built-in very bright OLED panel delivers razor-sharp 3,200 x 1,440 pixels (WQHD +) with a very smooth refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz. The smartphone can play videos in HDR10 + and should therefore also be well received by streaming friends due to the large color space.
Samsung has also thought of everything with the camera and has installed four of them: A main lens with a bright f / 1.8 aperture and a new 108-megapixel sensor is accompanied by two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x -x zoom. There is also an ultra-wide-angle lens with f / 2.2 and 12 megapixels. The front lens (aperture f / 2.2) snaps with a maximum resolution of 40 megapixels. Due to the optical image stabilizer, the recordings are usually correspondingly sharp. The Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G only has to admit defeat to competitors like the Huawei P40 Pro in poor light conditions if you take photos without a tripod.
