Realme Q3 Pro 5G Complete Review 2021: Best Realme Smartphone

The new smartphones are the continuation of the Realme Q2 lineup launched in 2020. The retail sales of the Q2 series exceeded 1 million units, according to the company’s vice president Xu Qi. You will learn about the features of the new Q3 Pro 5G from my review.

Design and appearance

Externally, many of the latest Realme smartphones are very similar to each other: GT, GT Neo, X7 Pro Extreme Edition and V13 have similar designs. In order for each new device to somehow stand out from the rest, the company had to give each device unique features.

In GT – there is a body made of eco-leather, GT Neo – got an iridescent strip on the back surface, and phones of the Q and V series, a huge inscription – Dare to Leap. In addition, the Realme Q3 Pro 5G has a special matte green finish, so you don’t have to worry about fingerprints.

The Dare to Leap inscription is here on the right side of the back cover, which does not look like something special during the day, but at night it glows green – the smartphone seems to turn into a firefly. The case is quite thin, although inside there was a place for a 4500 mAh battery.

Screen and sound

The Realme Q3 Pro 5G features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display from Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch layer polling rate.

The panel has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and the maximum brightness reaches 1000 nits. It’s easy to make out the contents of the screen even on the sunniest day. HDR support allows you to enjoy a wide range of tones when watching movies.

Other features of the Q3 Pro 5G include stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology, as well as Hi-Res sound quality certification and a Tactile Engine Linear vibration motor. We also have a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external gadgets via a wire.

Realme Q3 Pro 5G Cameras

For shooting, the Q3 Pro 5G uses a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle and a 2MP macro lens.

The aperture of the main sensor is f / 1.79, and the angle of view of the wide-angle lens is 119 degrees. With distortion correction, pictures look more natural. Realme Q3 Pro 5G also offers us a choice of: Portrait, Night and Supernight modes. There is electronic stabilization and a number of other useful features that contribute to the high quality of the final photos.

Q3 Pro 5G video shoots in quality up to 4K at 30/60 fps, as well as 1080p at 30/60 fps. The front 16MP lens offers features such as HDR, panorama, and 1080p @ 30fps.

Under good conditions, the smartphone takes excellent photos without losing detail. The captured selfies, images, videos or texts look very clear and legible.

System and software

The tested smartphone Q3 Pro runs on the Android 11 operating system with the Realme UI 2.0 shell.

The interface from Realme is simple and intuitive, there are plenty of additional functions here too. You can easily customize the color scheme, icon size and shape, fonts, and more.

In all other respects, this is a familiar and familiar system from other Realme phones.

Iron performance

Powered by Realme Q3 Pro 5G on the Dimensity 1100 processor from MediaTek, which was released in January 2021.

The chip is made using a 6nm process technology and is not inferior in its capabilities to many top-level competitors. The Dimensity 1100 has eight cores: four Cortex-A78 (2.6 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz), and the Mali ARM G77 MC9 is responsible for graphics processing. There is also support for fast dual-channel internal memory UFS 3.1.

Cortex-A78 cores guarantee high performance in multi-core mode, which is confirmed by tests. In Geekbench 5, the Q3 Pro scores 707/2718 points, and is comparable to many competing smartphones with Snapdragon 865.

The device is also suitable for games. In Original God, you get a stable 60 fps, even with high graphics settings. While Peace Elite will drop to 40 fps, this is pretty good for a relatively inexpensive smartphone. Apparently, the liquid cooling system also has a positive effect on performance.

Autonomy Realme Q3 Pro 5G

In terms of battery life, the Q3 Pro 5G phone uses a 4500mAh non-removable battery.

Considering the more energy efficient components, one battery charge will last for an average of 8 hours of screen time, or 1-2 days of use. The included 30W fast charger will restore your battery from 0 to 100% in just one hour.

Outcome

The Realme Q3 Pro 5G is a great smartphone at a relatively affordable price point. It pleases with a pleasant design with a glowing in the dark inscription Dare to Leap, high speed of execution of even complex tasks and support for next-generation 5G networks.
