Price list of the Huawei P40 models leaked (update 13.03.2020)

The official launch of the new Huawei P40 models is no longer long, so it is not surprising that the leaks are becoming more and more concrete. The well-known platform / leaks has now announced the prices of the new smartphones.

As was to be expected, the Huawei P40 Pro should break the notorious thousand mark with a price of 1,139 euros. According to Leak, the Huawei P40 is priced at 849 euros. The stripped-down versions of the two flagships are significantly cheaper. The Huawei P40 Lite should cost 329 euros, while the Huawei P40 Lite E should be a real bargain with 199 euros.

Huawei P40 concept postponed due to Corona (update 03/10/2020)

The corona virus continues to cause mischief and causes mass cancellations of large events. The Huawei P40 presentation was supposed to take place on March 26 in front of a large audience in Paris. Due to the current situation, Huawei has now decided to present the new flagships in an online keynote. Nothing changes in the date and time, only Huawei CEO Richard Yu will have to speak into the empty space once more.

Huawei P40 without tof sensor? (Update Jan 21, 2020)

According to a leak on Twitter, the camera of the Huawei P40 in the basic version will have to do without a ToF sensor. The rumor mill has actually counted on the sensor. The modern measuring device promises even sharper photos. Only three cameras can be seen on the back of a render image. These, of course, come from the professional Leica. The ToF sensor is probably only installed in the Huawei P40 Pro. All in all, however, that is only four lenses and not – as expected – five. A Penta camera seems increasingly unrealistic.
The 6.2 inch display is to be delivered with a punchhole. Music lovers will not be pleased, because there was no jack socket on the pictures.

Huawei P40 as a trio? (Update Jan 7, 2020)

After Samsung and Apple each launched three models of their high-end series on the market in recent years, the third big player in the industry is now following suit. According to current rumors, Huawei is planning an additional Max model for the release of the Huawei P40 – an even stronger version of the Huawei P40 Pro. The exact name is not yet clear, possibly it will contain an addition like Ultra or Max. This model could score – compared to the Pro version – for example with a higher quality material and more RAM and also in terms of camera, it should be ahead of the Pro version. We are definitely excited to see how Huawei will top itself here.

Display and design

A fundamentally new design on the part of Huawei is not expected. The classic angular model remains. This is exactly what the user likes. The corners should be even more angular than in the previous devices. In which colors the smartphones appear is unfortunately still a well-kept secret.
The display gets an upgrade: the user should decide whether the screen should dissolve in Quad-HD with greater battery consumption or in Full HD +. Gorilla Glass will probably also be used again to adequately protect the devices of the P40 series.
