Realme 8i Price in Pakistan 2021: Full Review
Realme 8i is one of the most affordable smartphones in the lineup, it costs from 32 thousand rupees. At the same time, it offers excellent performance. The phone is aimed at gamers and mobile photography enthusiasts, with a 120Hz refresh rate, a powerful MediaTek Helio G96 processor and a 50MP main camera from Samsung.
The Realme 8i smartphone seems to be more thoughtful and balanced compared to the 7i. While the ultra-wide-angle camera is gone, there is still a headphone jack and a microSD slot. This is an ideal offer for those who like to play mobile games and do not want to spend a fortune on a smartphone.

Unpacking and packaging
Most of the Realme smartphones come in a yellow box, and the Realme 8i is no exception.
From the accessories inside the package you will find:
- Charger 18W
- USB-C charging and data cable
- Transparent silicone case
- The protective film is already glued to the screen
- Documentation and user manual
Design and appearance
Realme has a lot of experience in creating attractive smartphones, so it should come as no surprise that the design of the Realme 8i is fine.
The screen is flat, the back cover is rounded at the sides and shimmers pleasantly with silvery-purple colors. There is also a quieter black color scheme, although it has the same beautiful gradient.
The front camera is located in the upper left corner of the 6.6-inch display. Above the screen, you can see a tiny grille with an earpiece speaker, but it does not form a stereo pair with the main one. There is also no notification LED. On the back of the 8i is a module with three cameras and an LED flash – externally, this set is a square with four circles of the same size.
There is nothing on the upper edge of the case, although it is difficult to find free space on the lower one. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port and a downward-facing speaker. On the left you can find the volume keys and a slot for two nano SIM cards and a microSD memory card. On the right is the power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner. By default, it works on touch, but this can be changed in the settings.

The dimensions of the smartphone are 16.4 × 7.5 × 0.85 cm, as in the Realme 7i , and the weight is 194 grams (6 grams more). The 8i’s screen has increased, but the bezels around it have become smaller.
The diagonal IPS LCD screen of the Realme 8i is 6.6 inches, and the resolution is 2412 × 1080 with a pixel density of 400 ppi.
The display supports 120Hz refresh rates, switchable between 30, 48, 50, 60, 90 and 120Hz. The polling rate of the sensor layer is 180 Hz, although there is no HDR support. But there is Widevine L1 DRM, so content on streaming services will be available to you in Full HD.
Realme 8i cameras
On the back cover of the Realme 8i, there are three cameras: a 50 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel macro lens and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The front lens has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
When shooting with the main lens, the photos are saved in 12.5 megapixel resolution, and for a budget smartphone, the quality is amazing. The detail is surprisingly high, the colors are vibrant and rich, and the dynamic range is very wide. There is practically no noise. By default, the HDR mode is active, but without it the photos do not get worse. The colors are not as rich, but more natural, and the sharpness is even increased.
Shooting with Realme 8i
There is no optical zoom in the 8i cameras – only digital, in which part of the picture of the main camera is simply cropped. But on the phone screen, such images look good and are quite suitable for social networks.
Shooting in low light without Night Mode is a bad idea because everything gets blurry and grainy. But the Night mode works great, although the process takes two seconds and the same amount of time saving the results. But you will have high detail, no noise and excellent exposure.
Realme 8i night mode
A 2MP monochrome depth sensor helps when shooting in Portrait mode and collects information about the depth of the scene quite well. Thanks to it, the separation of the subject from the background is good and the bokeh effect is not bad. There is also a 2MP macro lens with fixed focus at 4cm. This lens is capable of capturing good photographs if you choose the right distance, but it is not so easy to do.
The Realme 8i smartphone is one of the first to run on MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset, manufactured using a 12nm process technology.
Performance Realme 8i
The chipset has eight cores: two high-performance Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.05 GHz and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz). The graphics are processed by the ARM Mali-G57 accelerator, which supports a display refresh rate of 120 Hz. But, its power is not enough to provide 120 fps in games.
Realme 8i processor
RAM LPDDR4X can be 4 or 6 GB, and the amount of internal storage UFS 2.1 from 64 to 128 GB. Performance tests tell us that in the budget segment, the Realme 8i is one of the most powerful smartphones.
Realme 8i test
In GeekBench 5, it scores 539/1886 points in single-core and multi-core modes, outstripping most of the competition. In Realme 7 result 569/1794 score. But with the graphics, things are worse – in the GFX Manhattan ES 3.1 (offscreen 1080p) test, the device shows a result of 24 fps. The same Realme 7 5G has 35 fps here.
For its price, the Realme 8i is an excellent smartphone and could hardly be better. We get a 120Hz refresh rate screen, long battery life thanks to a 5000mAh battery, a fairly powerful MediaTek Helio G96 processor and an excellent 50MP camera.
Yes, there is no telephoto lens or ultra-wide-angle camera, and the charging speed is only 18W, but these are not the most serious disadvantages for the budget segment. Of course, I would like stereo speakers, however, you can always plug in headphones, even through the 3.5mm jack.
