Oppo Reno 6 Pro Wholesale Price in Pakistan 2021: Review

The new Oppo Reno 6 Pro smartphone offers interesting features: a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor with Cortex-A78 cores and a 4500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging. The rest of the Reno 6 Pro 5G is similar to its predecessor: design, 90Hz AMOLED display, 64MP main camera and 32MP front camera.

Oppo is doing well in 2021, with the Find X3 Pro becoming one of the best Android smartphones around, and the Reno lineup is still a great alternative to the Galaxy A and other models. Although OPPO Reno 5 Pro 5G came out half a year ago, a successor is already ready. The updated hardware should give the Reno 6 Pro an edge over its competitors, however, the price for this is too high – 80 thousand rupees.

Design and appearance

Externally, the Oppo Reno 6 Pro does not differ much from the previous model. The back cover is rounded at the sides, and the thickness of the case is 7.6 mm.

The module with the main cameras has changed a little – the flash is now placed close to the fourth sensor, although the other three are still the same large lenses located vertically one under the other.

Nevertheless, the Reno 6 Pro is one of the most attractive smartphones in the mid-range segment. The slim body is combined with a pleasant gradient of the matte back cover, which shimmers in blue and gold, depending on the angle of the incident light. Complementing the aesthetic appeal are the almost invisible bezels around the display.

The power button is on the right side of the case, while the volume keys are on the left. Below is the USB port, main speaker and SIM card slot. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Since the battery capacity has increased to 4500 mAh, the Reno 6 Pro weighs 4 grams more – 177 grams, compared to its predecessor. But, it is still one of the lightest smartphones in the category.

Screen and multimedia

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G’s screen is pretty much the same as its predecessor, Samsung’s AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.

When watching content with HDR10, the brightness can go up to 800 nits, which should be enough for any conditions. Thanks to the AMOLED matrix, the displayed colors look amazing. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which protects against scratches and damage.

The Reno 6 Pro does not have stereo speakers, although they appear in many budget smartphones. This is a significant drawback of the model, especially considering the cost. The only speaker is located at the bottom – it sounds good, but the volume is not enough.

Reno 6 Pro cameras

When comparing the cameras to the previous model, in the Oppo Reno 6 Pro they have not changed much.

Here we get a 64MP (f / 1.7) main lens, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera has the same 32MP resolution as the previous model.

The main camera shoots great in any light. The resulting photos have high detail, almost no noise and slightly oversaturated colors, great for social media. In low light, detail is preserved even in dark areas of the frame, tones remain accurate and there is little noise.

The ultra-wide-angle camera practically does not differ from the main one in terms of color gamut, although in the dark it shoots much worse than the main one. As for the macro lens, it is better not to use it – because of the fixed focus, it will be very difficult for you to take a good picture.

Reno 6 Pro 5G introduces new features for shooting video, such as the AI Bokeh Flare Portrait Video mode, which creates a nice blur (bokeh) effect. You can adjust the intensity yourself, and overall the function is well implemented. Unfortunately, video recording quality is limited to 4K / 30 fps, and there is no stabilization at all.

If you need electronic stabilization, I advise you to shoot at 1080p, which is strange for a smartphone advertised as a video gadget. There are already many models in this segment that support 8K / 30 fps or 4K / 60 fps with stabilization and HDR.

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3, and the new version has some interesting updates from OxygenOS.

Over the past two years, the ColorOS shell has changed significantly, now it looks more pleasant and modern. Since OnePlus and Oppo now share the same operating system, this is where we get all the new features as well. ColorOS 11.3 has many useful settings and options.

For example, you can quickly launch any application and perform various actions, right at the time of unlocking. To do this, you need to hold your finger on the fingerprint scanner under the display, after which five slots will appear, with customizable applications and functions. To select the one you want, swipe to it without releasing the screen.

The main drawback of ColorOS 11 is the infrequent system updates. Oppo still cannot solve this problem, which prevents the company from fully competing with Samsung or other Chinese manufacturers.

Component performance

The key change for the Oppo Reno 6 Pro is the improved hardware. The smartphone uses the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor running on eight cores.

Here we have one high-performance Cortex-A78 core at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz, and four energy efficient Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz). The graphics are responsible for the nine cores of the Mali-G77 chipset. RAM can be 8 or 12 GB, depending on the version, and the amount of internal storage is 128 or 256 GB.

The real performance of the Reno 6 Pro is excellent, it is not inferior in speed to some flagships on the Snapdragon 870. MediaTek has finally managed to create a worthy alternative to Qualcomm chips, so it should come as no surprise that many new smartphones like the OnePlus Nord 2 also run on Dimensity 1200.

For fast payment, the smartphone has an NFC module, the sound thanks to the aptX HD codec will be transmitted in higher quality, and the vibration motor will provide amazing feedback.

Summary should you buy oppo reno 6 pro?

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro smartphone doesn’t differ much from the previous model. The main upgrade is only the Dimensity 1200 processor, which provides higher performance like the flagships. Otherwise, the new Reno is inferior to many competitors in the class.

Alas, some problems remain, such as infrequent system updates, lack of wireless charging and water protection. The cameras are not bad here, but when it comes to video shooting, the Reno 6 Pro 5G is again inferior to the competition. But, the biggest drawback is the huge price of 80 thousand rupees. There are models on the market with similar characteristics that are much cheaper.
